CANCELLED - 32ND ANNUAL FLORIDA SKUNK SHOW

Holiday Inn & Suites Orlando SW - Celebration Area, 5711 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee, FL 34746

It is with deep regret that we have made the hard decision to cancel this year's skunk show. While conditions are improving in some areas, it is still not good in Osceola County where Kissimmee is located and their rules for social gatherings are still no more than 10 people. Since we can't predict what the conditions will be by October, we thought it safer to cancel and start planning for next year. We are in the process of signing a contract for Saturday, October 16, 2021. I will let everyone know once we have signed the contract with the Holiday Inn. Please stay safe and we hope to see everyone next year. Provided conditions are favorable, there is a small group of us that still plan to go to the hotel for the weekend of October 10th and just hang out. Please let Brenda Hoch, floridaskunkrescue@verizon.net, or 727-809-0975, know if you would like to be kept informed of these plans.

CANCELLED - 54th Annual Rattlesnake Festival

 —  —

Pasco County Fairgrounds, 36722 State Road 52, Dade City, FL 33525

Come join us for our first time attending this event which is sponsored by The Thomas Promise Foundation.

The San Antonio Rattlesnake Festival began in 1967 as a small Jaycee project in San Antonio, Florida. In 1973, arts and crafts were added as an important part of the event. The Rattlesnake and Gopher Enthusiasts (R.A.G.E., Inc.) managed and grew the event successfully until 2012. From 2012 - 2016, the festival was managed by Rotary Clubs as a fund raiser for local charities and in 2017 the Thomas Promise Foundation stepped in to continue this great community festival. This year the festival will move to the Pasco County Fairgrounds to allow for ease of parking and festival growth, but the traditional activities will remain central to the event.

Food, arts & crafts, live music, wildlife, children’s games, and local history are highlighted each year. Family fun and entertainment are a main focus of the event. Note: Hours for Saturday are 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.

These Highland games bring together the rich heritage of the Scottish, Irish, and Welsh cultures to the West Coast of Florida. It is held annually on the first Saturday in April, at Dunedin’s beautiful Highlander Park.
