Produced by the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The Mertailor’s Eric Ducharme will feature live mermaids modeling the exquisite custom mermaid and merman tails that his company creates here in Citrus County and ships worldwide. Enjoy mermaid encounters in and out of the water and get a close up look at each one of a kind tail. Look for a great variety of local food vendors, a beer & wine garden, live entertainment, exciting merchandise vendors, free paddle board rides, a kid zone, boat rides, photo booth, contests & games and frosty Margaritas and of course lots and lots of SKUNK HUGS.

ANNUAL SKUNK SPRING FLING AND EGG HUNT

Annual skunk Easter egg hunt and spring fling. 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm. It's a get together of skunk owners and those interested in skunks and/or wanting to find out more about having a pet skunk. R.S.V.P. is required to get the location. The rescue is providing the hamburger and hot dogs. Please bring a dish to share. Donations or a donation item for the rescue such as puppy pads, freeze dried meal works, baby blankets, paper towels, bleach wipes, etc. would be greatly appreciated as our income has been down due to COVID. Please bring your lawn chairs.

The Floral City Strawberry Festival is held annually the first weekend in March in Floral Park in Floral City. The festival celebrates its tasty namesake with a full weekend of fun that has been a local tradition for generations. The 34th annual Floral City Strawberry Festival will feature over 200 vendors, food trucks, 2 kid zones, a beer & wine garden and non-stop live entertainment, including the Little Miss Strawberry Pageant and ever popular pie eating contests. Admission is $5 for adults, 12 & under are free. Free parking and shuttle buses are available at the Citrus County Auditorium at 3610 S. Florida Ave., Inverness.

Gulfport's Get Rescued Animal Rescue Festival & Fundraiser - 16th Annual

This 16th Annual animal rescue festival and fundraiser, has evolved from one block and a handful of animal rescue groups in its first year to a popular and festive event representing rescue groups from throughout the region. Activities include an adoptable pet parade, pet care education, pet services, pet food and supplies drive, free samples, training demos, a Bark-B-Que, food, DJ music & more. Don't forget to come and get your skunk hug. Each year, thousands of attendees, many accompanied by their own critter companions, make their way to Gulfport to participate in what has become a beloved tradition. Admission is free.

Love Stinks Presented by Cannonball Cabaret

Come join us on Valentine's day to raise money for the Florida Skunks Rescue. We will have the most amazing crew of people from the Cannonball Cabaret perform and raising money for some cute little stinky critters. There will be a $5 door fee from 8pm to 10pm to help raise money for the Rescue. We will also have some of the Skunks here to pet, all the mean while the Cannonball Cabaret will be putting on a fiery fierce show! Who knows what acts they will bring but you will be captivated and laughing off your seat. Why sit in an overcrowded slow restaurant? when you could be having an amazing time with a great show for a good cause!

LAST DAY!!!! Admission, petting zoo, playground, live music, Torres Family Circus, decorated photo spots, costume contests are FREE! Individual rides and activities, including pony rides, rock wall, bounce houses, zip line and pumpkin painting, have their own set price ranging from $1 – $10. While some vendor booths may accept cards, many are cash only so please be prepared. For your convenience we will have one ATM setup in front of our farmer’s market. Although our Admission is free, we kindly ask for a $5 parking fee.

DAILY ACTIVITIES include: Food Truck Rally, Craft Show, Live Music, Kids Fun Zone (with zip line), Hold a Skunk, Pony Rides, Mini Train Ride, Hay Rides, Hug-A-Goat, Wildflower Maze, Enchanted Unicorn Encounter, Butterfly Garden Experience, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, and more to do throughout the day! Per the recommendations by Sarasota County, the following guidelines will be in place: All individuals must wear masks in any setting where social distancing is not possible.
